Beautiful Jamaica

(Take the responsiblity, its Unique JAMAICA!), this calls for some creative ways to connect with Jamaicans to garner their support.

‘Unique Jamaica’ is taking a leadership role in spear-heading a Clean-Up Jamaica Campaign; under the efforts of its Responsible Tourism Network. This has been recognized as an important campaign to embrace, as it acts as a meaningful deliverable of our Responsible tourism policy, addressing the environmental and beautification needs of Communities especially where our ‘Unique Jamaica’ members are located.

This campaign can add a deeper value to the statement ‘Unique Jamaica’; which can express the whole element of national responsibility manifested in the words (UNIQUE JAMAICA). It stimulates the image of UNIQUE JAMAICA to the nation and around the world - allowing us to build greater capacity in the form of relationships for other campaigns of this nature - Take the responsibility, it’s UNIQUE JAMAICA, it’s our Jamaica!

The beautification of our villages, towns and cities is important as building them as destinations within the overall destination of Jamaica. Raising standards for ourselves; creating a freedom for visitors to explore, taste it and feel it. (It’s unique Jamaica; it’s our Jamaica.)

The vision

The mission is characterized by a full mobilization of efforts from the public & private sector and the community in the clean up and beautification of Jamaica; on a project by project basis, synchronized and put into a national outlook; driven under the leadership of the ‘Unique Jamaica’ Responsible Tourism Network.

It is the vision of the campaign to stimulate extensive support from all levels and sectors of society; through dynamic marketing and media exposure; fuelling excitement and enthusiasm in Jamaica, making them fully aware of the effort that is being made, and their responsibility to tap into that effort; as a national responsibility by volunteering for projects within their own environment; (Take the responsibility, its Unique JAMAICA!), this calls on for some creative ways to connect with Jamaicans to garner there support. Jamaicans not only in Jamaica but Jamaicans abroad; and foreigners who have a interest in seeing Jamaica get cleaned up; ‘a simple concept, but great depth in simplicity’.

The legacy that the campaign can leave behind can be found in the relationships and linkages established. The sustainable element in the campaign is therefore the establishing of a network of partners, with the ability to work together for the future, creating working relationships cemented under a framework.

It is important that we eliminate duplication of efforts in all we do and have everyone organized under one agenda, one vision and one mission; to clean up and beautify Jamaica. UNIQUE JAMAICA therefore embrace other efforts and initiatives where necessary and relevant.
